December 17th will be our annual
Christmas dinner/meeting night at
Creekmore Park in Ft Smith. This year
we'll be having TURKEY as the main dish,
and our members and friends are all
invited to bring a dish to round out a

AOAS is approaching its 20th anniversary
on January 15, 2005. For the past 19
years, we have always met at the
Creekmore Park Community Center. Now, I
would like to ask every member of AOAS
to consider moving to a new location for
our bi-monthly meetings.

former commanding officer of the 188th
TFG in Ft. Smith, and CO of the 188th at
the time of Maj. Doug Coleman and Capt.
Richard Lumpkin's F-4 crash in 1987.

i finally got my scope out for the first
time this year and had alot of fun.i got
good veiws of saturn and jupiter (and
it's moons). along with the moon that
seemed extra bright last night. i hope
everybody is ready for a great summer of
veiwing!!!! :lo

I have tried several times to locate the
club observatory using the map on the
webpage but have not had any success.
:( Too many turnoffs not included,
curves don't seem to match and I always
seem to wind up on the wrong road. 8O

weeks there will be an opportunity for
gazers to see mercury venus mars jupiter
saturn and the moon all lined up around
dusk. It will be 30 years until this
happens again I read. I know I can count
