Well, my (Almost) new Meade LXD55 SN-10
Schmidt-Newtonian OTA came via UPS
yesterday. Generally, it was in
pretty good shape for a 6 year old, used
$300.00 scope. The corrector
plate/secondary mirror assembly was
removed and packaged separately for

Last year, I bought a Meade 10" SCT
OTA, a 2" eyepiece and barlow, a cheap
2" diagonal, and a CG-5 Mount, off eBay
in several different auctions. (Casino
Winnings :lol: ) The problem I had was
that no matter what I tried, I could not

guidance gyros will fail to the point of
making it unusable. Many people feel
that it is no more dangerous to send the
shuttle back to Hubble for it's last
