It hasn't been mentioned in the schedule, so I thought I'd remind everyone...
On Friday evening, Oct 4th, we are scheduled for an outreach star party at the Belfonte Public School (475751 State Hwy 101) A mile or so West of Short, OK.
A number of the students are asking every day about this event... they are looking forward to it. Letters have been sent out to all of the parents
The Superintendent (Mr. Pinkerton) wants to set us up at the softball field, and is planning on having the streetlights covered. We should have electricity available also (but I wouldn't absolutely count on it.)
Any questions, just drop me an email at amoxford at gmail.com.
Let's show them a good time, and what's up there!

I am looking forward to it............Sounds like a Great Star Party................
9/30/13
Devon,
Glad to hear that the star party is still on for the school kids. Wish I could be there to assist and see all their
excited faces when they get to look at a great night sky through telescopes. Sorry, but I will be missing from
the event that evening. I will be in northern Illinois the remainder of this week and will not be getting back
until later next week. Don't know at the present time if I will even be able to make the Astronomy Day
event and star party. I would hate to miss that also. I will know more about my schedule for the next few
weeks possibly tomorrow, or by the end of next week.
Best wishes for a clear sky on both events.
