Well, like Larry did back in August, I guess you can now blame me for the upcoming month of bad weather! I just pulled the trigger on a new setup yesterday. My fever's been getting worse, and those after Christmas Sales were too good to pass up!

What did I get, you ask? Just an Atlas EQ-G GoTo Mount, a TeleVue Everbrite 2" diagonal, a couple of TeleVue eyepieces, two TeleVue barlows, mounting hardware, and drum roll please... a Takahashi TSA-102!!

All I need to do now is learn how to use this new mount and setup, and save my money for a CCD camera! I'll be walkin' in high cotton before too long!

Weather on cue as predicted. I can hardly wait to view though this setup as well, Dave. We'll have to pick out a few really challenging doubles to test out the resolution with.

I have a solution for the weather demons.
Let's move Christmas to say July. Summer is extremely humid and usually cloudy anyways.

Hey Dave that is a piece of equipment. Congrats! What kind of CCD are you going for?

Clear skies (please!)

Pablo

Well -

I hate to say this, but the deal fell through. No telscopes will be forthcoming right now. I was certain we had this sewn up, but there was a problem at the last minute. So the weather should clear up soon! Maybe next time...

Hi Dave,

How's that itchy finger? I can imagine that it's wore down to the nub by now... I hope you find a cure soon. Eek!

Hi Larry -

I'm not sure it's just my finger that's itching any more. Rolling Eyes

I'm sure wanting to get something pretty soon. Im just not in at the right position yet.

BTW - are you planning to come to the meeting on February? We'd sure like to see you make it "down the mountain".
I'd sure like to see Pablo make it down to the meeting as well. We've got a great program this year!
