I have been revising the web site for my observatory and wanted to invite the members of AOAS to stop by and take a look. I renamed my Prairie Creek Observatory to Shadowlands Observatory after I found out that Prairie Creek is actually no where near my property! My web site can be seen at: http://poppafred.tripod.com and all comments, pro and con, are welcomed.

I have always been a fan of C S Lewis and have read and own almost all of his works. He refered to this world as "the shadowlands". As astronomy is a science dealing with light and shadow, it seemed a bit more appropriate than some of the others I considered.

I also wanted to take a moment to thank the members of AOAS for their hospitality. I have not been able to attend many meetings or events for various reasons. When I have been able to go, I have been treated very kindly and met with only warm acceptance.

Thank you all.

I like your little observatory. I know Charleston is a great place to see the stars. Very little light pollution out that way. I enjoyed your site. Look forward to seeing some more astrophotos.
