Anyone else get out to view the Lunar Eclipse last night? Since I have a bad cold, I got up around 2:00 AM and went out for a short time. The sky was clear. The moon was fairly dark gray with just a hint of red in it. Sorry, no photos though. Dave - Morrow, AR |

Dave, I set my alarm to go out to view at 1:30 AM. Stayed out until 2:30 AM when some high clouds began to move in. Did not get any pictures. Used my binoculars to view with. My 8" scope is in Clarksville. I did get to see a reddish hue curing the totality. Could not believe how warm the weather was - about 45 degrees. Viewing here in Fort Smith was pretty good. Huh....I must have stepped out during the only clouds, then, because I could make out the reddish hue, but it was through thick haze. Didn't take a second look. Wasn't worth wasting time to photograph as far as I knew...Now you guys say you saw fair views. I challenge your observations/dreams, cuz I didn't see it worth a CRAP Bob Moody |

Totally clear skies in Talihina and I got a few good photos of the whole eclipse sequence with my DSLR. I would post them but I don't know how to add attachments to this site. Help! |
