Hi All -

Just wanted to let you know we are currently planning to meet at the John F. Henderson Public Library in Westville, OK for the Star Party on June 15th. We are working to get an exact address, but for now, here's a map to show you how/where to find Westville, OK.

Here's a link to it on Goggle Maps: http://tinyurl.com/d9aj5sq

We'll update this post just as soon as we have a definite address in Westville. See you Friday evening!

Last word I had was that it would be at the city park................I'll be in the vicinity around 7:00pm.

Leonard -

I contacted Sue Ann at the Library and she said we would be meeting at the library first - Lora will be doing her program and a project for the kids to construct astrolabes. Then we will move either to the city park or the Westville High School football field. So I'd say the best bet is to meet at the library:

John F. Henderson Library
116 N Williams Ave
Westville, OK 74965

Here it is on Google Maps

Do you have to be a member to attend the July meeting? Several members of our FB group have expressed interest but aren't members (although I am encouraging it). Thanks for any info! - Leah

Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings. We look forward to meeting new people.

During the july meeting, we will have a presentation by the International Darksky Assocation - Arkansas Section Leader and, I beleive, at least one member of the Arkansas State Legistation to discuss proposted Light Polution bills .
