All --

That time is rolling around again, like it does every year!

Our 2015 annual Holiday Potluck dinner will be held on Saturday evening December 12th at 6:30 PM. The location is still pending, but we will be at the Lake Fort Smith State Park Visitors Center. We're just not sure which room we'll be in. That will be announced here just as soon as we have it nailed down.

WATCH THIS SPACE!

At any rate, as it is a pot luck, we normally post a list of who will be bringing what, just so we know what to bring w/o duplicating effort, and also to be sure the basics are covered. If you plan to bring something and it's not on the list, please post a reply here and let us know,. I'll add it to the list in this initial post so you don't have to scroll through all the posts.

Here's what we have so far:

Smoked Turkey ...................................................... Leonard & Gayla Lynch
Smoked Ham ......................................................... Leonard & Gayla Lynch
Coconut Cake ........................................................ Leonard & Gayla Lynch
Sweet Potato Casserole ........................................ "Dr. Chuck" & Loretta Larson
German Potato Salad ............................................ "Dr. Chuck" & Loretta Larson
Holiday Fruit Salad ................................................ Dave & Lora Grosvold
Broccoli Casserole ................................................. Dave & Lora Grosvold
Pumpkin Pie .......................................................... Dave & Lora Grosvold
Cool Whip .............................................................. Dave & Lora Grosvold
Key Lime Pie .......................................................... Andrew Hradesky & Family
Roasted Chicken .................................................... Charley McLane

What we still need:

Sodas/Beverages
Rolls/Butter
Mashed Potatoes/Gravy

One comment about beverages - if you have a particular libation you're fond of, we suggest you bring your own bottle and share it with the group. Also, though it is not forbidden, we typically don't serve alcoholic beverages at club functions.

Please consider adding your name to the list. To do so, simply post your response here. This way we'll have a running tally of those items for which we've received commitments, and those we haven't.

We're looking forward to everyone having a great time and good fellowship!

Thanks!

Acting AOAS President

I am making a change to what I am bringing as a AOAS item: If it is ok with everyone, I am bringing Smoked Turkey and a smoked herb stuffed Leg of Lamb, instead of a smoked ham.

I smoked a herb stuffed Leg of Lamb about a mouth ago and it was fantastic. It would be better for those that do not eat pork.

Let me know by Thursday evening if the majority would rather have ham. Laughing Out Loud

Gala and I will also bring cranberry sauce.

We also need somebody to bring paper plates, cups and plastic ware. If nobody responds, I will bring this.
