Being 50 miles from Coleman Observatory was a drag. With the cost of gasoline, a run up would be 100 miles round trip. So, I built an observatory of my own! It's only 10 X 10 but now Charleston, AR has an astronomical observatory. It is a roll-off roof and just the right size for an observer or two. I've ordered a TeleGizmo cover to protect the scope when I leave it outside for a multiple night stretch of observing. Would like to post a photo but none of the categories seemed appropriate.

Now, it the clouds would back off a little..... Big Grin

We'd love to see a photo. You can post it in the Gallery under Club Activities, and link to it here in the forum!

Could not make a link work, so it is on the second page at the bottom.
