YES! I saw that beautiful TV footage of the fireball as it flared in brilliance several times across the skies of Australia. How I wish we could see something like that in our area.

I guess I should say how I wish that I could see a great bolide like that. There have been a few really bright meteors in our area that I've heard about, but I've never witnessed anything brighter than a few really nice ones of -10 to -12 magnitude, and then that one on November 19, 1998 at about 1:45am that was estimated to be -14 to -15 magnitude during the great Leonid Fireball Storm of '98. That one was spectacular!

That was the most incredible night of fireballs I've could ever have imagined. Every few minutes, another fireball that would light up the ground like nearly-full moon light. I took some images that I hope to soon have digitized for posting on the site. Watch for them......

AND I think it is so cool that you are contributing to our site from Poland. Where are you located?
