Use the link below to read about this recent discovery about Light Pollution being linked to breast cancer in women who work at night. Compelling evidence shows that nighttime lighting may be a big factor in the increased incidences of breast cancer. I was totally surprised by this lead article in the Quarterly newsletter of the IDA.

Wow!light pollution causing cancer, that's pretty amazing,I guess that's one more reason to work towards keeping our skies dark. There are so many things that affect our health & some of them are things we think improve our life style,Ive never been a big fan of fast food & that sort of thing, but i would have never thought light woud have an adverse affect on mine or anyones health

A lot of artifical lights are filled with harmful gases. I know Neon is a popular light that is used, if you make a change, Neon can become deadly and really glow!

This is an interesting fine, now is the time to start working on getting new businesses to use better light fixtures and lights.
