Since getting back into astronomy I have been mostly observing jupiter, the moon & a few Messier objects,I'm still don't know the night sky well enough to be able to navigate to a deep sky object without help, that's were the goto feature comes in handy,& I've seen some objects that just blow me away, but there are things in our own little solar system that are absolutely stunning, this last sunday(6/18)I went down in the kibler bottoms & set up,I wanted to try & image saturn & mars together, but they were already to far apart to get them together in my cameras field of view,I was using the neximage ccd camera,so I started by observing saturn & getting a few pics, which I have posted in photo gallery, then mars, then jupiter, but I kept coming back to saturn,I am continually amazed at the beauty of her rings & the way the moons appear as points of light, almost like diamonds, you could see the shadow of saturn on her rings,I kept thinking about us having spacecraft investigating the planet rings & her moons & it made me realize how far we had came since the wright brothers first flight,it would be nice to see where we are at in 100yrs
