Yep, you finally made it! Way to go Jon. Now its just the two of us that have gone through the process of earning our own Honorary Messier Certificates. I'm still hoping that many other AOAS members will do the same someday.

When you get your new certificate from the Astronomical League Messier Coordinator, let me know and we'll take a picture of you with the new one to go with you web article when you earned your Regular Certificate last year. I'll be proud to sign your certificate to make it "official" too!

What's next, a Herschel certificate, or a Binocular Messier or some other AL cert?

I started on my Herschel list when I was in Colorado, but I haven't touched it since then. But when I start coming out on Deep Sky Nights, that's what I will be working on.

Bob, did you ever start that log on the Binocular Messiers?

HA! Yes, I do still have it. I'm glad I used that voice recorder that evening and dictated everything we saw with the club's 20 X 100 binos.

I'll try to pull that out and transcribe it into a log form for both you and Charley McLane as well as for my own benefit sometime. We may have to get together again some evening here soon to qualify for our Binocular Messier Cetificate, but I'm sure we can all find a night when we can get together for that.
