Here are images taken by Bob Moody over a number of years in a wide number of locations and of a wide variety of subjects and/or photo or imaging techniques. Nearly all individual images are described whenever possible. I hope you enjoy my astrophotographs and astronomical images.

 Close-up of the prominence. I believe I may not have enlarged the right image of the prominence since there's little detail in it. Hmmm.......as I say, 1st tries are seldom successful anyway, so I'm not too ashamed of these. I WILL, however, be posting others someday soon, and I hope I find the tricks to getting images like I see on the daystarfilters.com website pages....check 'em out

 This is another image of the Sun from the same day, same setup, but it looks slightly less well focused. Still, not TOO bad, though

 Looked away from the eyepiece for what seemed less than a minute, but when I returned to the eyepiece, the eclipse had begun!
