This shot for scale shows a bit of the area where the pictograph is found on the underside of that overhang. We're always told that the artist "signed" the picture with his hand print next to the crescent moon and the brilliant new star close by, exactly as it looks on many astronomy planetarium programs that can show the sky as it looked at a time in the distant past, such as on July 4, of 1054 A.D.
